Norfolk Island Health Service Plan

KPMG has been undertaking a review of the 2015 Norfolk Island Health Service Plan.

The Norfolk Island Health Services Public Discussion Paper provides information for the Norfolk Island community to inform discussions on the types of health and aged care services that may be needed in the future.

Progress to date

Stage 1 of the on-Island consultation was completed in December 2018.

Stage 2 of the on-Island consultation was completed in February 2019.

Community feedback on the Norfolk Island Health Services Public Discussion Paper closed on 21 February 2019.

All submissions are treated in confidence to ensure that privacy is respected. Personal information was not required as part of your submission, although any received will be collected in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988.

Current activities

The 2019 Draft Norfolk Island Health Service Plan has now been released for public consultation. The KPMG Consultation report is also publicly available. Community submissions are welcome, with the consultation period concluding on 31 March 2020. Written comment can be provided to NIhealthserviceplan@infrastructure.gov.au.

Upcoming activities

KPMG will also be facilitating focus groups and community consultations on Norfolk Island from February 2020. Further details on how you can be involved in these sessions will be available shortly.

The Department may collect your personal information for the purposes of receiving your submission, feedback or request for further information on the 2019 Draft Norfolk Island Health Service Plan. Personal information is not required but if provided, will be collected in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988.

If requested, the Department may use your personal information to provide you further information about the project and will store this information securely. The Department will disclose your submission and any personal information to KMPG for the purposes of assisting the department with the review.
