Norfolk Island Multipurpose Health Services Facility

The Norfolk Island Multipurpose Health Services Facility Project was established to develop the Initial and Detailed Business Cases which will lead to the Australian Government's approval to provide funding for a new Multipurpose Health Services Facility for the Island. The department has engaged KPMG to assist with the project.

MPS design consultancy process

The current phase of the Norfolk Island Multipurpose Health Services Facility (MPS) project, to support the detailed business case, is stakeholder and community engagement to inform the design concepts and solutions.

GHD Pty Ltd, the design services contractor engaged by the department), initiated the design process by engaging with stakeholders in two stages.

The first stage involved targeted meetings with local utilities and health service staff and preliminary site investigations to gather specific technical information to inform initial design options.

The second stage, which is now under way, involves engagement with the broader Norfolk Island community on potential design solutions.

Design information is available below. Written feedback can be provided to territories_projects@infrastructure.gov.au, closing on 6 November 2020.
