Christmas Island Crown Land Management Plan

On 7 March 2017, Senator the Hon Fiona Nash, Minister for Local Government and Territories, released the Christmas Island Crown Land Management Plan. The Plan provides a framework to guide uses of Crown land on Christmas Island. It will support the release of land for development over the short and long term.

Registration of Interest for the Purchase or Lease of Crown land on Christmas Island

On 7 March 2017, Senator the Hon Fiona Nash, Minister for Local Government and Territories, announced a Registration of Interest process for Crown land, with the process giving potential investors an opportunity to identify land for development.

Registrations of Interest are now closed and are being assessed.
